We already know that more Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity news is headed our way on 26th September, but it’s quite possible that our first look at its gameplay could arrive at this year’s Tokyo Game Show.
The trailer that first told us about this upcoming piece of news gave away nothing but the date, leaving us to believe that Nintendo would simply drop another video to tell us more. However, looking a little more closely at this year’s Tokyo Game Show schedule reveals that Koei Tecmo, responsible for the game’s development, just so happens to be hosting a livestream on that very same day.
Here’s the description of the show, taken from the event’s schedule:
[26th September, 21:00 JST] – Koei Tecmo Games: TGS 2020 Special Program: Two Key Titles:
First half: The first live stream for Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy, the first game in the Atelier series where the main character continues her journey!
Second half: To be announced at a later date.
The first half of the show will be dedicated to Atelier Ryza 2, but could the mysterious second half be dedicated to Hyrule Warriors, a game that wasn’t officially announced when the schedule was written up?
We’ll have to wait to find out, of course, but it might be worth keeping an eye on Koei Tecmo’s stream just in case. We often get new trailers and game demonstrations during Tokyo Game Show, so this could be a great way to see some live gameplay.
Either way, wherever the 26th September news comes from, we’ll make sure to share it with you here at Nintendo Life so stay tuned. There’s not long to wait!
Thanks to gaga64 for the heads up!
