The Game Awards has just wrapped up for another year and the winner is the PlayStation exclusive The Last of Us Part 2 by Naughty Dog.
Although Animal Crossing: New Horizons has sold more than 26 million units and been labelled a “phenomenon” since its release in March, it seems it still wasn’t enough for it to take out the win.
The Last of Us Part 2 managed to also beat Final Fantasy VII Remake, Ghost of Tsushima, Doom Eternal as well as the indie hit Hades.
On a more positive note on the Nintendo front, Animal Crossing: New Horizons did take out the award for best family game. What do you think about the Game Awards GOTY? Leave a comment down below.
