Oh no, according to certain parts of the internet, the street date for Nintendo’s upcoming Switch release Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury has been broken one week out from the game’s official release. On top of that, it’s also been leaked online!
While it is not entirely clear at this point how it all started, a thread over on ResetEra reveals the game is now being “streamed” and soundtracks from the Switch game are also being “uploaded” in response to just “one” slip up.
“People are streaming it and soundtracks are being uploaded, heads up.”
We had a look over on Twitch, and sure enough – certain individuals are already streaming the Bowser’s Fury add-on. The same thread on ResetEra confirms “retail copies were [then] dumped” which explains why streams are already popping up online.
We can’t imagine Nintendo will be too happy about this, considering how secretive it has been about the new add-on.
Well-known Nintendo dataminer OatmealDome has shared some additional information about the development side of the game, based on this latest leak:
So, long story short – this Switch game is out in the wild. If you don’t want any Bowser’s Fury spoilers, it’s probably best to stay away from streaming, video and social media websites for the next week.
