UK Charts: Super Mario 3D World Stays Top As Animal Crossing’s Slide Continues

It would seem that Animal Crossing: New Horizon’s grip on the gaming public is loosening, as the insanely popular title continues its fall down the UK charts.

2020’s lockdown hit was in fourth place last week, but seven days later and it finds itself at number 7 in the chart. Fellow Switch titles Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Minecraft also slumped a little this week, settling at sixth and tenth position respectively. Bravely Default II – the Switch’s biggest new release of the last week – lands in eleventh place, just outside of the top ten.

However, last week’s chart-topper – Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury – retains the top spot, so it’s not all bad.

Persona 5 Strikers enters the chart in fifth place, while PS5 title Spider-Man: Miles Morales climbs from ninth to second thanks to the fact that more PS5 hardware stock became available over the past week.
